We were recently tasked with installing a new pump set on the 500m3 ocean tank at Blackpool SeaLife Centre.

This required precise planning to ensure the system was offline for the shortest time possible. This paid dividends with the entire installation taking just under 12 hours.

Technical drawings were supplied for approval and all components including suction and discharge assemblies were fabricated in our workshop and assembled on site.

Power requirements was reduced from 15kw with the old pumps to 11kw with the new pumps. Better still the new pumps are ramped down to 40hz bringing total power requirement to around 5.5kw @ 100m3/h providing a huge energy saving.

The installation also includes digital flow meters and inlet/outlet pressure gauges.
